Gosho doll

 In the Edo period, Daimyo(Japanese feudal load) in various domains presented local specialties to Gosho(the imperial palace) in Kyoto when they pass through Kyoto on their way to Edo as Sankin-Koutai(one of administrative system in Japanese feudal period, especially in the Edo period). Then, as return gifts, emperor at that time gave them curvy dolls.
 That is how the origin of the name of Gosho doll was derived.
Ichimatsu doll

Ichimatsu doll

 It originally was named from young Kabuki actor Ichimatsu Sanogawa who is popular in Kamigata (Region cantered around Kyoto and Osaka) and this doll was copied off of him. This is the most beautiful and popular girl doll which dressed in The Traditional Japanese Kimono. And in the beginning of Showa era period, this kind of doll in Checkered Kimono was presented to America for the goodwill of Japan and the United States.
Ren-jishi(Shishi)

 Shishi is a mythical lion-like animal in Tang(China). It is told that the Shishi kicks his young over the valley and raised only a strong one, which could climb back up. This doll Renjishi (two lions) expresses father's love and severity in the strong dance by farther and child.
